A Common Thread — four artists, one connection

Porter Mill has long been a place where disciplined studio practice meets conversation across disciplines. “A Common Thread, 4 Artists: 1 Connection” was an invitation to place four distinct voices in one room and let the echoes between them do the teaching.

I joined as curator and as a participant—thinking about rhythm across the walls, pause between pieces, and the quiet through-line that carried from encaustic to oil to mixed surfaces.

The works below are pulled from several ongoing series—surfaces built in layers, marks that change tempo depending on where you stand.
